Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Boylston Fire Department to protect the lives and property of the people in the community from fire, natural disasters, hazardous material incidents and other emergencies by providing prompt, professional service.
The Boylston Fire Department is a combination career/paid on-call department that provides fire protection and ambulance services to the community. The department has a full time fire chief and two full time fire officers who are on duty from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. along with 26 on-call firefighters, many who are also emergency medical technicians. The fire department operates out of a single station located at 599 Main Street. The fire department responds to several hundred calls for emergency service every year ranging from medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, vehicle fires, brush fires and other alarms. The department operates one basic life support ambulance, two engine companies, one tanker, one specialized rescue vehicle, two brush fire apparatus, a marine unit and two
command vehicles. The fire department also provides inspection services, fire prevention and education programs along with community CPR and First Aid classes. Fire department personnel participate in regular training activities to keep their skills current so that they may provide the highest level of care to the community.
